Afrika Bambaataa: Hip-Hop Legend and/or Legendary Hip-Hop Sex Deviant??

From R. Kelly to Malachi Z. York, some of African-American's most prominent figures in music and spirituality have been the subject of being accused of RAPE, PEDOPHILIA, and a assortment of Sexual Deviancy. In the case of Micheal Jackson for example, his love of children; coupled with his unusual behavior, brought about accusation after accusation and so on from the parents of the children they left in his care (BEFORE & AFTER the accusations). If a parent would still leave their children over with a WEALTHY someone that has questionable patterns and whatnot towards children, THAT alone would alarm me. But I digress. I just named a few noticeable figures to paint the necessary picture that will help trace the dots as to why do people with influence tend to have RAPIST qualities. Is it a POWER thing, you know? Some childhood trauma of sorts?? CULT RELATED rather (in my opinion, that is more true than naught)?? Whatever the case may be, all of these polarizing people tend to have a similar framework they follow. And apparently, Afrika Bambaataa is the LATEST non-exception to the unwritten rules of, "How to Rape as a Influential Leader in any Organization".

For those that don't have the SLIGHTEST CLUE as to WHO or WHAT Afrika Bambaataa is to Hip-Hop Music, CLICK HERE! But most importantly to the CULTURE, his organization, The Universal Zulu Nation is a Historical Pillar in the formation of healthy peaceful relations between inner city gangs in New York at that time; and the origins of some of the greatest Hip-Hop Performers and Emcees that has ever graced the planet Earth. From there, it's safe to surmise a lot of youth may have spent their time with the gangs and with the Nation. For those that were tired of the BS that went along with Gang Culture, the Nation was a different light full of new positive opportunity and hope. And for all of the GOOD that it did and STILL is continuing to do to, why are all of these allegations suddenly popping up; as in the case of Ronald Savage which has parallels with people's involvement in Cult of Personality type groups?? Some say it's a continuous conspiracy to bring down powerful, influential African-Americans at play here. Some say it's people looking to sensationalize upon Afrika Bambaataa's rumored closeted preference to the same sex just to make some cash flow. But belief isn't the currency I'm looking to collect upon. It's rather the particular correlations and comparisons that can be observed immediately from just reading about this situation that's concerning.

For instance, Bishop Eddie Long is a PRIME EXAMPLE of similar behavior and a excellent comparison piece. BOTH are considered PRIME FIGUREHEADS of their perspective organizations. BOTH are considered influential to their perspective areas. BOTH continuously have access to young, impressionable girls and boys (they seem to prefer males in these stories). And BOTH have had allegations of Sexual Deviancy pressed upon them (Click Here). The only difference is that Eddie's Church money MAY be a little longer than Afrika's (if it ever gets to that point). But in BOTH cases, the end results of their overall image being tarnished is apparent. Suffice it to say each of these men have resources; along with belonging to organizations that have dedicated members ready and willing to protect the perception of their leaders, or what's left of them anyway (and additional secrets, if any). But hey Bambaataa may just come out on top in this scenario just like Eddie Long did because the Bishop is STILL PREACHING........

With that being said, people in the so-called African-American community have a BIG problem with Black celebrity worship. ESPECIALLY if they are VERY TALENTED and VERY MUCH have like a sort of Silver Tongue. We will have the most disdain for our Neighbor for little to no real good reason, but a celebrity they don't know is like Moses when he was credited for parting the sea. We will never begin to question a certain person's motives or their movement if we are benefiting from them. In the case of musicians, if they are a Hit-Maker, whatever they do they seem to be forgiven by US (i.e. So-called Black Folk). I bet there were "things" being done by Bambaataa being seen by people belonging the Universal Zulu Nation, but due to fear of not being able to reap the benefits of their association with said organization, a mental personal note was probably made in their mind to make sure they did not leave any of THEIR KIN around Bambaataa for too long. But as far as anybody else, it was no longer their concern. I guess being your Brother's/Sister's Keeper no longer applies when you are benefiting from the framework as it seems. If the allegations are true, then that's some sick shit if you ask me. And with the combination of Gang Culture directly correlating with Prison Culture, who's to really say even with all of the GOOD that came from the development of the Nation, what if Bambaataa's selfish goal was to have a fresh supply of young males at his bidding at his choosing under the guise of, "Peace, Love, Unity, and Having Fun" via Hip-Hop Culture????

These questions must be asked. If not, what's the point of it all????
